Healthy Homemade Dog Treats

Peanut Butter Paws


INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats

  • 1 banana

  • 1/3 cup peanut butter

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp flour (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.

  2. Add oats to a food processor for 2 - 3 mins, until oats are almost flour consistency.

  3. Add peanut butter, banana and egg to food processor.

  4. Mix until dough looks uniform.

  5. Roll the dough out to roughly 1/8" thick. Use 2 tbsp flour if too sticky.

  6. Cut treats out with paw print cookie cutter and place on baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 16 - 18 minutes, rotate trays halfway through.​

Crunchy Oatmeal Cookies


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1 cup oats

  • ½ heaping cup of peanut butter

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1½ cup warm water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F

  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

  3. Mix all of the dry ingredients into a medium size bowl.

  4. Add in peanut butter and warm water. Mix everything together.

  5. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough gently a few times.

  6. Roll out the dough ¼ to ½” thickness.

  7. Cut the dough lengthwise into strips, and then crosswise into bite size squares.

  8. Lay them on the parchment covered baking sheet and bake for 30-45 minutes.




Playful Pumpkin Bones


INGREDIENTS

  • 2/3 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 1/2 – 3 cups whole wheat flour

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. In mixing bowl beat pumpkin puree, peanut butter and eggs. Gradually add 2 1/2 cups flour at low speed until uniform.

  3. Add additional 1/4 cup flour at a time until the dough is no longer sticky.

  4. On a lightly floured surface knead the dough 3-4 times until it comes together. Roll the dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

  5. Using bone shaped cookie cutters, cut out bone shapes and place onto the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes.​
